Teaching Experience

Since May 2019, I have been employed as senior lecturer in Business Analytics in the division of Management, Work and Organisation at the Stirling Management School of the University of Stirling.  My teaching credentials include:

•In RATE awared, I was voted best lecturer in Stirling Management School 2022

•Programme director of MSc Business Analytics, and MSc Business Analytics (online) new programmes which I specified and steered through the University Programmes Board.  The new programme has been used as a template for a new Marketing Analytics programme, employs two new modules (“Text Analytics for Business” and “Digital Business and Data Technologies”) which have a strong business focus and use advanced data science techniques. Attracted 3 Data Lab scholarships for new programme and a great deal of interest in our students for placements.

•Module Leader MANU9DA (Business Analytics), MANP005 (Business Consulting Group Project), BUSP020/BUAP020 (Business Consulting), MANP006 (Text Analytics for Business) and MANP007 (Digital Business and Data Technologies)

•At Edinburgh Napier University (2015-2019) Redesigned modules in Business Information Systems in 1st, 2nd and 3rd years which were used as core modules in Graduate Apprenticeship degree (Modelling for Business (MfB) (level 7), Business Systems Analysis and Design (BSAD) (level 8), Enterprise Systems (ES - focusing on SAP) (level 8), and Project Management for Information Systems (PMIS) (level 9). creator and lecturer on Enterprise Systems Enterprise Information Systems with SAP, (level 11).

•I have supervised many 4th year projects and MSc dissertations: four in software and hardware issues in eHealth (security, use of mobile technology, interoperability), data analytics and autonomous vehicles. Will be internal examiner on DBA thesis and have had applicants from the MSc Business Analytics MSc students to be PhD candidates.
