BIOGRAPHY

Laura Beauchamp is an adjunct instructor at the Freeman School of Business at Tulane University and a board member of the Tulane Energy Institute. Her primary research focuses on finance, management, and the energy power sectors. In 2022, she began serving as the Director of Resource Planning and Market Operations at Entergy Louisiana. Additionally, in January 2024, she was appointed as an adjunct instructor at Tulane University, where she teaches courses on energy and power, management, and finance for business school students.

Her other key achievements include served as an expert witness representing the company at local, state, and federal levels on policy, budgeting, and regulatory rate-setting matters; acted as the Incident Command System (ICS) Administrative Section Chief for two years, overseeing communications, reporting, cost tracking, documentation, invoice control, and risk reporting; managed over 1,000 workers as the Incident Commander during Hurricane Ida, overseeing safety, traffic flow, environmental concerns, and public safety at the site.
