Admission Brochure for the 2026 International Chinese Teachers Scholarship for Four-Week Study Program at the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences

 

为满足国际社会对日益增长的中文教育类人才的需求，促进世界各国中文教育的发展，助力国际中文教育人才的成长，教育部中外语言交流合作中心（以下简称中心）设立国际中文教师奖学金（以下简称奖学金），聚焦培养合格的海外中文教师。

To meet the growing international demand for Chinese language teachers, facilitate Chinese language education around the world, and support the professional development of Chinese language teachers, the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) has established the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship (hereinafter referred to as the Scholarship) for eligible Chinese language teachers outside of China.

孔子学院、独立设置的孔子课堂，部分汉语考试考点，外国相关教育机构、高校中文师范专业/中文院系、国外有关中文教学行业组织、中国驻外使（领）馆等（以下统称推荐机构）可推荐优秀学生和在职中文教师到中国大学学习和进修汉语及相关专业。中国社会科学院大学2026年接收该项目的汉语进修生。

Confucius Institutes, independent Confucius Classrooms, selected HSK test centers, foreign educational institutions, Chinese language teacher training programs/Chinese departments at foreign universities, professional associations for Chinese language teaching, Chinese embassies (consulates) abroad (hereinafter collectively referred to as Recommending Institutions) are encouraged to recommend outstanding students and in-service Chinese language teachers to study and further their education in Chinese language and related majors at Chinese Universities (hereinafter referred to as the receiving institution). The University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (UCASS) will admit Chinese language students for the 2026 Program.

一、招生对象

1.非中国籍人士；

2.对华友好，无违法犯罪记录，遵守中国政府的法律、法规和学校的规章制度；

3.身心健康，品学兼优；

4.有志于从事中文教育、教学及相关工作；

5.年龄为18-35周岁（统一以2026年9月1日计）。在职中文教师放宽至45周岁。

I.ELIGIBILITY

a) Be a Non-Chinese citizen;

b) Be friendly to China, have no criminal record, abide by the laws and regulations of China and the rules and regulations of the Host Institution;

c) Be in good physical and mental health, be in good academic and behavioral standing;

d) Be interested in Chinese language education and related work;

e) Be aged between 16 and 35 years on September 1, 2026. The maximum age limit for in-service Chinese teachers may be extended to 45.

二、奖学金类别及申请条件

1.奖学金类别：四周研修生

2026年7月入学，资助期限为4周。“汉语+博物馆”方向。

2.申请条件：具有HSK成绩。由推荐机构组团进行报名，并事先联系我校确定在华学习计划，提前报中心审批，每团10-15人。

Ⅱ.CATEGORIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Scholarship for Four-Week Study Program

The program commences either in July 2026, and the scholarship is provided for a maximum of four weeks.

Applicants holding X1 or X2 visas on their passports will not be accepted.

Applicants of Chinese language study，Peking Opera，Chinese Tea Art，Taiji culture，or Calligraphy are required to provide HSK test scores. The program should be organized and applied for by a recommending institution with 10-15 participants per group. Before the trip, a detailed study plan shall be made in consultation with host institutions and such plan shall be submitted to us for review and approval.

三、奖学金资助内容及标准

包括学费、住宿费、和综合医疗保险费。

1.学费由我校统筹用于奖学金生的培养与管理，开展文化活动，组织参加汉语考试等。

2.住宿费由我校统筹使用，为学生提供免费宿舍(双人间)

3.综合医疗保险费参照中国教育部来华留学有关规定执行，由我校统一购买。四周研修生标准为100元人民币/人

III.COVERAGE

International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship provides full coverage on tuition fee, accommodation fee, and comprehensive medical insurance expenses.

a) Tuition fees are managed by our university for the training and management of scholarship students, organizing cultural activities, and arranging participation in Chinese language examinations.

b) Accommodation fees are managed by our university, providing free dormitories (double rooms) for students.

c) Comprehensive medical insurance premiums follow the relevant regulations of the Chinese Ministry of Education for international students studying in China and are purchased uniformly by our university. The standard premiums are 100 RMB per person for a four-week study period.

四、申请流程

2026年3月1日起，申请者可登录中外语言交流合作中心网站（https://www.chinese.cn）国际中文教师奖学金板块，查询推荐机构与我校信息；在线提交申请材料，关注申请进程、审核意见与奖学金评审结果；奖学金获得者与接收院校确认办理来华留学手续，在线打印获奖证书；按我校录取通知书规定的时间入学报到。

截止日期（以北京时间为准）：

7月入学（四周研修生）：学生申请截止日期为4月15日，推荐机构、我校审核截止日期为4月25日；

语合中心委托专家组集中评审：根据HSK、HSKK考分和级别，兼顾国别等因素择优资助，于入学前约3个月完成奖学金评审工作，公布评审结果。

IV.APPLICATION PROCEDURES

Online registration will be available from March 1, 2026 on the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship website (http://www.chinese.cn). You may search for Recommending Institutions and Host Institutions; submit application materials online; and track the application process. The successful applicant must confirm with the Host Institutions to go through the procedures of studying in China, print out the scholarship certificate online, and register at the Host Institution on the designated date as per the Letter of Admission.

The Application Deadlines (Beijing Time):

For students enrolling in July (four-week study program), the application deadline is April 15th, and the deadline for Recommending Institutions and review by our university is April 25th.

CLEC will entrust an expert panel to review the applications. Decisions will be based on HSK and HSKK levels and scores, geographical distribution, and other factors. The results will be published about three months before the program starts.

五、申请材料

按照报名平台要求提交报名材料。申请提交后，申请者将无法修改申请信息和申请材料。因此，在提交申请前，请务必仔细核对检查，确保所提交的信息和材料全面、真实、完整。如有不实或缺漏者，我校概不予受理。申请材料中涉及的各类表格、文书、证明等如为中英文以外文本，除原件外，还需附经公证的中文或英文翻译件。建议前往中华人民共和国驻所在国使（领）馆对上述材料及其翻译件进行公证。两页以上的表格、文本、证明等应当加盖骑缝章或者在每页上都加盖公章。申请人无需邮寄原版纸质材料。

V. APPLICATION MATERIALS FOR INTERNATIONAL CHINESE LANGUAGE TEACHERS SCHOLARSHIP

According to the requirements of the registration platform, applicants must submit application materials. Once the application is submitted, applicants will be unable to modify the application information and materials. Therefore, before submitting the application, please carefully review and verify that all submitted information and materials are comprehensive, true, and complete. Any inaccuracies or omissions will result in the application being rejected. If any documents in the application materials are in languages other than Chinese or English, besides the original documents, certified translations in Chinese or English must also be provided. It is recommended to have these documents and their translations notarized by the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in the applicant's country of residence. Documents consisting of more than two pages, such as forms, texts, or certificates, should be stamped with a seal or have an official seal affixed on each page. Applicants are not required to mail original paper documents.
